Farmdrop: Is this the best grocery delivery service in London?

I think I've found the best food delivery service in London, delivering the best, freshest, yummiest local produce.

A few weeks ago I was trying to think of ways to simplify chores so that I could spend less time doing tasks I don't like and more time being out with friends. Tasks like grocery shopping.

The ones that didn't work

I have tried a few grocery delivery services before. Tesco and Sainsbury's were standard when I was at uni. Good-value grocery shopping delivered to your door hassle-free.

A step-up from that was Ocado. I loved being able to find items that are harder to find, but I didn't like that most products expire pretty quickly (this is common with supermarket delivery services).

Then I started wanting fresher local produce. Together with my flatmates, I subscribed for a weekly delivery of a Riverford box full of fresh veggies - whatever combination was in season. I did find it a bit weird trying to cook with veggies I hadn't seen before. I ended up cancelling Riverford when a driver missed a delivery yet they marked it as delivered. I never had any satisfactory customer service so I stopped my subscription.

Enter Farmdrop.

Farmdrop is a local produce and organic grocery delivery service.

Just when I was about to lose hope, I get this flyer through my door. Talk of coincidences!

Why Farmdrop are different

All these factors are important to me, so I took the offer code and ordered my first box.

The food

I was so impressed with the quality of the food and the great service.  The vegetables smell and taste delicious and lasted for days and days. I made all my meals with fresh, succulent, luscious veggies every single day. The meat too was impressive. It was stamped by a local farm and the meat was high quality and tasted unlike what you get in supermarkets.

The one downside is that they are small and growing, so they don't stock everything under the sun. They have a selection of produce from local farmers and a small selection of shelf items & imported items.

Ordering through these guys couldn't be easier, and they even have an easy to use app that also serves as inspiration for cooking.
